01 — THE BROW HUB · CANBERRA STUDIO
Eyebrow tattooing is our main focus. Every brow starts with a design worked out on your face, taking in your features, your skin and how you’d like your brows to look day to day. We don’t copy a template from someone else’s face.

THE MAPPING SHEET
Your facial features. Brow bone, eye shape and the natural line of the hair you already have.
Your skin. Skin characteristics affect how pigment settles and heals.
Existing pigmentation. If you’ve had brow tattooing before, we assess it first. Some brows need correction or removal before new work.
Your preferences. Soft and barely there, or more defined. You tell us how you’d like to look.
Lifestyle and aftercare. Daily routines and aftercare all affect how brows heal.
02 MICROBLADING · 03 POWDER
Most brow decisions start with one question: do you want the look of individual hairs, or a soft, filled finish? Here is how the two main approaches compare. Your skin and the brows you have now will help decide which one may suit you.
OPTION A — MICROBLADING & FEATHERING
Look on the skin
Fine, hair-like strokes placed between your natural hairs for a textured, feathered look.
How it is built
Strokes are drawn one by one along the mapped shape, following the direction your brow hair grows.
Things that affect healing
How crisply strokes heal varies with skin characteristics, healing and aftercare.
Maintenance to expect
Strokes may soften or fade over time, and maintenance appointments may be needed.
OPTION B — POWDER & OMBRE
Look on the skin
A soft, shaded finish, often lighter at the front and building towards the tail, similar to brow powder.
How it is built
Pigment is laid down as layers of fine shading inside the mapped shape rather than as separate strokes.
Things that affect healing
Shading can look stronger straight after treatment than it will once healed. Skin, healing and aftercare all affect the final tone.
Maintenance to expect
Pigment may fade or change over time, and maintenance appointments may be required.
04 — NANO BROWS AND COMBINATION BROWS
Nano and combination brows sit between the two options. Nano brows offer another way to create fine, hair-like detail. Combination brows pair hair strokes with soft shading, which can give texture and fullness in the same brow.
You don’t need to arrive knowing which you want. We’ll decide together at consultation, once we’ve looked at your skin, your existing brows and the result you have in mind. You can also read our guide, Strokes or Shading? Choosing a Brow Technique.
THE BROW PAGES
BEFORE YOU BOOK
One of the most common misunderstandings about cosmetic tattooing is that brows straight after treatment show the final result. They don’t. Give them time to heal before you judge the shape and tone.
Eyebrow tattooing enhances the brows you have. It isn’t a medical treatment and it isn’t suitable for everyone, which is why every booking starts with a consultation.
Results depend on your skin characteristics, existing pigmentation, healing, lifestyle and aftercare, so results vary from client to client. Pigment may fade or change over time, and maintenance appointments may be required.
Your artist
Our brow work is led by Olha Po, who has worked in cosmetic tattooing since 2016. She is a cosmetic tattoo specialist, not a medical practitioner, and has trained internationally in European permanent makeup techniques.
Tell us about your brows and what you’d like to change. We’ll talk through which technique may suit your face and skin. Our Canberra studio is open 9:00 am – 9:00 pm, seven days a week.
