STATION 02

MICROBLADING
AND FEATHERING
BROWS

Hair-stroke brows, mapped to your face before any tattooing begins. If your brows are sparse, patchy or something you draw on every morning, microblading and feathering add fine, hair-like strokes that work with the brow hair you already have.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

BROWS THAT NEED DEFINITION, NOT A NEW FACE

Clients usually come to us with a simple description: “My eyebrows are really sparse.” “I have to draw them on every morning.” “One brow never matches the other.”

Stroke techniques can suit people who like a soft, textured brow and want definition that lasts longer than everyday makeup. Whether they suit you depends on your skin, your existing brow hair and the look you prefer, which is why we start with a consultation rather than a set template.

Cosmetic tattooing should enhance your natural features, not change who you are.

HOW STROKES ARE BUILT

STROKE

01 Map

We measure and map the brow around your facial features, bone structure and natural hair growth, so the shape is planned for your face and not copied from a trend.

02 Agree

You see the pre-drawn shape before anything is tattooed. We talk through pigment tone, stroke direction and how full you’d like the brow to look, and adjust until it feels right.

03 Stroke

Fine, hair-like strokes are placed along the direction of growth. Microblading and feathering both build a brow stroke by stroke for a textured, natural-looking finish.

DAY ONE IS NOT THE RESULT

WHY FRESH BROWS
LOOK DIFFERENT

One of the most common misunderstandings about cosmetic tattooing is that the brow you see straight after treatment is the finished brow. It isn’t. Freshly tattooed strokes usually look sharper and darker at first, then soften as the skin heals and settles.

How the strokes heal depends on your skin characteristics, existing pigmentation, healing, lifestyle and aftercare. Strokes may soften or blur differently from one client to the next, and pigment may fade or change over time, so maintenance appointments may be needed to keep the brow looking defined.

Read our guide to Healing, Results and Aftercare for what to expect while your brows settle.

Results vary between clients. Cosmetic tattooing is not risk-free, is not suitable for everyone and is not a substitute for medical treatment of skin conditions. We discuss your suitability at consultation.

IF STROKES AREN’T RIGHT

OTHER WAYS
TO MAP A BROW

Some skin types and preferences suit a softer, shaded finish, or a mix of both. We’ll recommend a technique once we’ve seen your brows in person.

03 Powder and Ombre Brows
Soft shading instead of individual strokes, for a more filled, made-up look.

04 Nano Brows and Combination Brows
Fine strokes, or strokes paired with shading, chosen through personalised design.
