18 · LIP AND LASH-LINE SHEET · CANBERRA, ACT
After brows, the lips and the lash line are the features we tattoo most. Lip blush adds soft colour and definition. Eyeliner tattooing gives you a lasting line in place of the one you draw every morning. Both are planned around your face, your skin and the look you already like. They are not taken from a template.

STATION A · BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE
☐ Note what bothers you day to day, such as faded lip colour, an uneven lip border or liner that smudges by midday.
☐ Bring a photo of the makeup you already wear if it helps show the look you like.
☐ Tell us about any existing cosmetic tattoo on your lips or lash line.
☐ Raise any skin conditions or health matters at consultation so we can talk about whether treatment suits you.
☐ Leave time for healing before an important event. The look straight after treatment is not the final result.
☐ Expect to plan for maintenance, because pigment fades over time.

STATION B · LIPS
Lip blush is cosmetic tattooing that softly tints the lips and sharpens the border. It suits clients whose natural lip colour has faded, or whose lip line looks uneven or hard to see. We choose the shade with you to suit your skin tone and the colour you usually wear. Then we map the shape to follow your natural lip line.
Healed colour depends on your skin, any existing pigmentation, how your lips heal and your aftercare. Lips often look stronger or patchier at first, and that settles as they heal. You can read more on our Lip Blush page.
WHAT IT DOES
Adds colour and definition.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
Add volume. Lip blush does not replace dermal fillers or any medical treatment.

STATION C · LASH LINE
If you put on eyeliner every day, or find it hard to draw a steady line, eyeliner tattooing can be a longer-lasting alternative. We plan the thickness and length around your eye shape, your lid and how much definition you actually want. That might be a fine line close to the lashes or something a little bolder.
As with lips, the line may look darker straight after treatment, and the healed result varies from client to client. Pigment fades, so you may need maintenance appointments later. See our Eyeliner Tattooing page for more.

STATION D · HOW IT RUNS
01 Natural colour and line
We look at your natural lip colour and lip border, or at your eye shape, lid and lash line. We also check for any existing pigment in the area.
02 Lip shade and border
For lip blush, we choose a shade against your natural lip colour and skin tone, then map the border to follow your own lip line. Nothing is tattooed until you are happy with the plan.
03 Liner thickness and length
For eyeliner, we plan how thick and how long the line should be, from a fine line close to the lashes to something a little bolder, and go through it with you before we begin.
04 Lips and liner settle
Lips often look stronger or patchier at first, and liner can look darker. Both settle as they heal, and your aftercare matters. Read Healing, Results and Aftercare.
STATION E · QUESTIONS
For general questions about how long results last, discomfort, cost and healing time, see Common Questions.
How do you choose a lip blush shade?
Your natural lip colour shows through the pigment, so we choose the shade against it, as well as your skin tone and the colours you usually wear. The healed colour still varies from client to client.
Can lip blush define an uneven lip border?
It can add definition along your natural lip line, and we map the border with you first. It adds colour and definition, not volume.
How thick will my eyeliner be?
We plan the thickness and length around your eye shape, your lid and how much definition you want. That could be a fine line close to the lashes or something a little bolder.
I already have an old lip or liner tattoo.
Tell us about it first. Faded or uneven work may need a different approach. Our Cosmetic Tattoo Correction and Removal page explains the options.
Results depend on skin characteristics, existing pigmentation, healing, lifestyle and aftercare. Cosmetic tattooing is not suitable for everyone.
