LIP BLUSH

Lip blush is a cosmetic tattoo treatment that adds soft colour and definition to your natural lips. It does not add volume, and it is not a substitute for dermal fillers or other injectables. If your lip colour looks faded or uneven, or you find it hard to see without lipstick, lip blush can give you a gentle, longer-lasting tint designed around your face.

SCOPE OF TREATMENT

+  Adds soft colour

+  Defines your natural lip line

+  Shade chosen with you

—  Does not add lip volume

—  Not a filler or injectable

WHAT LIP BLUSH CHANGES

COLOUR, NOT VOLUME

Your lip shape stays your own. We work within your natural lip line and add pigment to bring out colour and definition, so your lips can look more even without daily lipstick or liner.

The shade is chosen with you at consultation. We look at your skin, your existing lip colour and how you’d like your lips to look day to day, from a barely-there tint to something a little more noticeable. The aim is a natural-looking result that suits your face rather than a set colour chart.

If you’d like your lips to look fuller, that’s a different kind of treatment. Lip blush can’t change the size or shape of your lips, and we don’t offer fillers, injectables or cosmetic surgery.

01  CONSULTATION

We talk through the colour you’re hoping for, look at your natural lip tone and map the outline on your face before any tattooing begins.

02  STRAIGHT AFTER

Your lips will usually look brighter or stronger in colour than they will once healed. How they look on the day is not the final result.

03  HEALING

The colour settles as your lips heal, and how long that takes varies from person to person. Following your aftercare instructions closely makes a real difference.

04  OVER TIME

Pigment may fade or change over time. Maintenance appointments may be needed to keep the colour where you’d like it.

CHOOSING A SHADE FOR YOUR NATURAL LIP TONE

Pigment sits over the colour your lips already have, so the shade you see in a swatch is rarely the shade you see once healed. That’s why we choose it with you, looking at your own lips rather than a chart.

Your lips show through — the healed colour is a mix of the chosen pigment and your natural lip tone, not the pigment alone.

Undertone matters — the same shade can read warmer or cooler depending on the colour of your lips and the skin around them.

Uneven natural colour — if parts of your lips are lighter or darker, we take that into account when choosing a shade.

How noticeable you want it — from a barely-there tint to something a little stronger, chosen to suit your face.

Day one isn’t the final shade — the colour usually looks stronger straight after treatment and settles as your lips heal.

PLEASE NOTE

Lip blush is a cosmetic tattoo treatment that adds colour and definition. It does not add lip volume, and it is not a medical treatment or a substitute for fillers or injectables. Results depend on your skin, existing pigmentation, healing, lifestyle and aftercare; pigment may fade and maintenance may be needed. We talk through suitability and comfort at your consultation.
